Rough-terrain forklifts, sometimes referred to as all-terrain forklifts, are designed to handle uneven surfaces in outdoor operations. They typically have pneumatic tires that are larger than other types of forklifts and have maximum load capacities of between 2,000 and 40,000 pounds (roughly 900 and 18,000 kilograms).
