    About Caterpillar

Caterpillar needs little introduction in the industry. When most people think of Cat-branded equipment, however, they often think of massive dozers and excavators, and with good reason. But the company has been manufacturing lift trucks for more than half a century.

    Caterpillar TH357D Telehandler

Cat entered the forklift truck business in 1965 when it acquired Lester M. Sears’ Towmotor Corporation. Sears had invented the Model L forklift truck in 1933, adapting a farm tractor to do so. Cat Lift Trucks joined with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 1992 in a joint venture: Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America, Inc., of Houston, Texas.

Today, Cat has more than 80 years invested in the material handling industry, and it shows in the range of products it offers.

    Forklifts & Telehandlers

Cat’s counterbalance forklifts range from outdoor rough-terrain forklifts and pneumatic-tire bruisers able to lift 18 tons (16.3 metric tons), such as the Cat DP160N2, down to quiet, zero-emissions, cushion-tire trucks scooting around the warehouse floor. The company makes both three- and four-wheel forks. Power plants include diesel, LPG, gasoline, and electric to suit various needs.

    Caterpillar TL943D Telehandler

The company’s diesel telehandlers, or telescopic forklifts, include a model that can lift up to 6 tons (5.4 metric tons), the Cat TL1255D. The Cat TL1055D, meanwhile, can lift objects almost 55 feet (16.7 meters) in the air.

    Warehouse Equipment

Cat also makes hand pallet trucks (pallet jacks) and power pallet trucks, walkie stackers, order pickers (low level, second, medium, and high level), stand up / reach trucks, multi-way reach trucks, mast container handlers, and tow tractors (tow trucks). Whatever the requirements of your warehouse, factory, or yard, there’s probably a Cat lift that’s perfect for the job.

    Find The Right Cat Lift

LiftsToday.com has a tremendous variety of new and used Caterpillar lifts for sale, including 2C5000, 2C6000, and 2ET cushion-tire forklifts; Cat GP25 and P5000 pneumatic-tire forklifts; and Cat TL943, TL642, TL1255, and TL1055 telehandlers.
