About Hyundai
Hyundai’s construction and warehouse equipment business began in 1972 with the founding of Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), and it made its way to North America in 1991 with Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Inc. (HCEA). HHI offers products for a wide range of industries, including shipbuilding and marine machinery, offshore and engineering equipment, industrial plant machinery, and more. HCEA produces excavators, wheel loaders, compaction rollers, hydraulic breakers, and other construction machinery. Hyundai Forklifts Americas, Inc. is a subsidiary of HCEA that specializes in forklifts, stand-up and reach trucks, and order pickers.

Hyundai’s range of forklifts includes electric sit-down and stand-up models, diesel models, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) forklifts with either cushion or pneumatic tires. They range in maximum load capacity from 2,000 to just over 55,000 pounds (900 to 25,000 kilograms), but many of the models are available in several configurations. For example, the company’s BR-9 series of compact electric reach trucks offers load capacities of between 2,000 and 6,000 lbs (2,700 kg), while the 110D-9, 130D-9, and 160D-9 series of diesel-powered forklifts have load capacities of between 25,000 and 35,000 lbs (11,300 and 15,900 kg).
Hyundai also offers a wide range of services to support its forklifts, including Hi-Mate telematics, which can remotely report on your machines’ locations and vital statistics. Hi-Mate can also monitor fleet fuel levels and alert you if someone has moved equipment beyond its geo-fenced boundaries.
