New Telehandler 12054 & 3013 Models Push JLG’s SkyTrak Lineup Into 12K & 3K Classes

    Posted On: February 11, 2020

JLG recently announced two additions to its SkyTrak brand of telehandlers at The ARA Show in Orlando with the 3,000-pound class ultra-compact SkyTrak 3013 and the 12,000-pound-class SkyTrak 12054 (shown above), now the SkyTrak lineup’s largest model. (Photo courtesy of JLG.)

JLG announced at the American Rental Association’s ARA Show 2020 that’s going on now through tomorrow (February 12) in Orlando, Florida, that is has expanded its lineup of SkyTrak telehandlers both upward and downward. Billed as North America’s top-selling telehandler brand, the SkyTrak family now features the 3,000-pound (1,360-kilogram)-class ultra-compact SkyTrak 3013 on the low end and the 12,000-lb (5,443-kg)-class SkyTrak 12054 at the top—it’s now the largest SkyTrak model.

    Changing Jobsites

John Boehme, JLG senior product manager, says expanding the SkyTrak lineup upward and downward signifies the company’s continuing commitment to provide customers a wide range of solutions that can complete everything from small-scale projects to larger, industrial-sized jobs. “With less open space, we are seeing buildings get narrower and taller, driving a stronger need for telehandlers in these two size classes,” Boehme says.

JLG says the SkyTrak 12054 is ideal for industrial and construction applications and the SkyTrak 3013 is purpose-built to operate in light construction, agriculture, landscape, hardscape, and other environments with confined spaces that necessitate up-and-over reach ability. The 12054 provides a 53.2-foot (16.2-meter) maximum lift height, 38.8-ft (11.8-m) maximum reach, and 5,000-lb (2,268-kg) lift capacity at maximum reach. Features include single joystick operation, an integrated hitch and boom-mounted lifting lug, tight turn radius, Stabil-Trak rear axle-stabilization system, and Cummins QSF 3.8-liter Tier 4 Final engine providing 110 horsepower (82 kilowatts) of maximum power at 2,500 rpm.

    The 3013

JLG says the SkyTrak 3013 is well-suited for loading and unloading pallets and lifting and placing materials up to a maximum 13.1 ft (4 m). The telehandler offers a maximum 2,700-lb (1,224.7-kg) lift capacity and 7.1-ft (2.16-m) maximum reach. It also comes standard with a universal coupler for in-cab attachment and implement changes, and includes a 24.8-HP (18.5-kW) Kubota V-1505 diesel engine that supports four-wheel drive, two-wheel rear steering, and a hydrostatic drive system.
