Skyjack’s Accessoryzers collection recently added a new product called the micro XStep, which acts as a lift on top of a lift to give the operator an extra 19 inches (48 centimeters) of working height. The micro XStep is transferable and can be added to any Skyjack SJ3213 micro or SJ3219 micro electric scissor lift.

Like Skyjack’s original XStep, the new micro XStep mounts on the middle railing of the work platform on the recently introduced micro lifts. The micro XStep can give a worker better access to cramped spaces at height where the main platform can’t be raised any higher, such as between heating and cooling units or amongst piping. Skyjack says the micro XStep has a capacity of 250 pounds (113 kilograms) and is as secure as the lift’s main platform.

A Leg Up For Skyjack Micro Lift Users

“Building off the success of both the original XStep and the Mighty Micro line, we’re proud to introduce the micro XStep,” says Skyjack Senior Product Manager Corey Connolly. “Our micro XStep provides a solid, steady raised platform for ease of access in confined spaces while also being easily stowed or removed—allowing it to move from one machine to another as opposed to other systems on the market where the system is permanent and has to be ordered per machine.”

    Skyjack’s Mighty Micros

The new SJ3213 micro and SJ3219 micro are compact electric scissor lifts that can fit into most passenger elevators with a width of just 32 in. (81 cm). With 19 and 24.1 feet (5.8 and 7.3 m) of respective working height—plus an additional foot and a half with a micro XStep installed—the SJ3213 and SJ3219 micro have a smaller 27.5- by 60-in. (70- by 1.52-cm) work platform for use in tight quarters.

The SJ3213 and SJ3219 micro have variable-speed, brushless, AC electric front-wheel drive. Skyjack’s EcoTray accessory is available to contain any spillage from their DC electric motor-powered hydraulic systems, which are compatible with biodegradable hydraulic fluid.
