Read More (About Xtreme Manufacturing)Based in Henderson, Nevada, Xtreme Manufacturing was founded in 2003, but its company roots date to 1999 when Don Ahern had trouble finding a telehandler that met his fleet’s needs and decided to produce a more reliable product. In 1999, Ahern purchased Western Attachments Company, an Oregon-based forklift manufacturer that primarily built vertical mast forklifts for use on rough terrain. After creating the Fresno Engineering Group to completely redesign Western’s product lineup, Western Attachments Company eventually changed its name to Xtreme Manufacturing.
Via the Fresno Engineering Group, Xtreme Manufacturing developed its first telehandler, or telescopic forklift, in 2003 with the XRM945, which provided a 9,000-pound maximum capacity and 45-foot reach. After moving from Oregon to Las Vegas in 2003, Xtreme spent the next two years designing five new telehandler models and extending the reach of two previous models. Fresno Engineering also moved to Las Vegas at this time. In 2008, Xtreme outgrew its manufacturing facility and opened a new one in Las Vegas.
The next year, Xtreme introduced five new telehandlers to expand its lineup to 10 models that ranged in maximum operating weight from 6,000 to 30,000 pounds and with a maximum reach of 67 feet. In 2011 and 2012, the company added two more telehandlers, increased the weight capacity of four previous models, and entered into higher capacities with the XR2034 (20,000 pounds) and XR4030 (40,000 pounds).
In 2013, Xtreme Manufacturing became a majority stakeholder in Snorkel, an aerial work platforms maker with locations in the United States, United Kingdom, and New Zealand. In 2014, Xtreme released a telehandler with the largest maximum operating capacity in North America with the 115,000-pound XR7038. In 2015 and 2016, customer demand led Xtreme to expand again, this time moving into new headquarters in Henderson, which it shares with Snorkel.
In 2010, Xtreme expanded beyond telehandlers to produce new products, including the Xtreme Cube, a modular building block used to create custom office spaces, restrooms, homes, and more. Featuring a structural steel frame providing durability, the Xtreme Cube is available in 10-foot and 12-foot heights and 8-, 10-, and 12-foot lengths. Xtreme also offers E-Z Loader truck beds for carrying forklifts and other machinery. The EZ12 model, for example, features a 12,000-pound bed capacity and 5,000-pound tow capacity and is 21.3 feet long. Rounding out Xtreme’s product portfolio is the XLR5010S loading ramp, which offers a 50,000-pound maximum weight capacity.
You’ll find a large array of new and used Xtreme Manufacturing telehandlers for sale at LiftsTodaycom. Some of the more popular models consistently for sale include the XR1045, XR1245, and XR1255 high pivot roller boom models, which range from 10,000- to 12,000-pound maximum weight capacities, 45- to 55-foot lift heights, and 30.4- to 38-foot maximum reach.
