VIP+ Provides Accurate Valuations Plus Dealer Pricing Tools

The mobile-friendly VIP+ gives you immediate values out in the field, on the lot, or wherever you are. VIP+ furnishes real-time auction, wholesale, market, and asking values that are formulized to approximate the actual price a seller should expect.

VIP+, formerly known as FleetEvaluator, is Sandhills Global’s flagship valuation solution for construction equipment, farm machinery, commercial trucks, and trailers. Available exclusively in the Sandhills Cloud, VIP+ offers a premium valuation experience with enhanced functionality for dealers, fleets, and asset managers.

VIP+ differs from the publicly available Value Insight Portal (VIP) tool and features a fresh, new design. Its exclusive selling features include color-coded pricing indicators, a separate Customer Assets tab, and exportable Detailed Pricing Analysis spreadsheets. The mobile-friendly app provides market-backed auction, wholesale, market, and asking values to help sellers make smarter pricing and trade decisions with less risk.

    Highly Accurate Values

VIP+’s real-time valuations are fueled by more than $182 billion in annual transactional data from Machinery Trader, Truck Paper, TractorHouse, AuctionTime, and many other sources. In turn, it calculates precise, real-world values, taking model options, location, and other factors into consideration.

VIP+ valuations are free if you provide an asset’s vehicle identification number (VIN) or serial number. Alternatively, you can purchase valuations in the VIP+ app for a small fee per item.

    Integrated Solutions

Sandhills Cloud solutions work together to form an ecosystem to help you sell equipment more profitably. For example, VIP+ integrates with Sandhills’ Trade-In workflow process, while its customer assets list integrates with Inventory Management. If you're a Fast Track Iron user, you’ll also see auction and market values on most for-sale listings on Sandhills sites and apps.

    How To Get VIP+

To get started using VIP+, log in to the Sandhills Cloud and tap or click the Store. Select See All Apps and scroll down to the VIP+ app. Tap the Get button, then Launch. Once you have the VIP+ app in the Sandhills Cloud, you can also access it through a floating VIP+ button or menu option on a Sandhills Global mobile app or trade site you’re logged into.

    VIP & VIP+

Sandhills’ original VIP continues to offer valuations to the general public, though without VIP+’s dealer-centric toolset. Speaking of dealers, many offer free white-label VIP valuations to potential customers through their Sandhills-hosted premium website. Ask your Sandhills representative for details.

    VIN/Serial Photo Artificial Intelligence

As you start a VIP+ valuation, include a photo of a VIN plate or serial number sticker. AI-powered image recognition will read the number and try to automatically fill in the asset’s make, model, category, and year.

VIP+ factors the machine’s optional equipment and accessories into its calculations, so the more information you enter, the more accurate the values.

Be sure to enter the asset’s ZIP/postal code and country under Location, as equipment prices can vary by thousands of dollars depending on location. Equipment you enter in VIP+ appears in Inventory Management in the Sandhills Cloud, so you can market items on Sandhills sites and apps.

    Valuation Lists

The Quick Values tab at the upper left lists the ad hoc valuations you’ve run on equipment that’s not tied to a customer. The My Inventory tab (shown here) displays your own assets, and the Customer Assets tab lists valuations you’ve run for potential trade, consignment, or brokering opportunities.

The Detailed Pricing Analysis button (top center) exports a spreadsheet of asset values, status, and specs. This provides actionable insights into pricing and listing quality for all your inventory.

Quality Percentage (to the right of each photo) indicates how thoroughly you’ve entered the specifications most important to each asset’s value.

The Retail v. Market color bar indicates how your asking prices compare to market values. You can edit your current asking price in the For Sale field below the bar.

The default Full View (shown above) displays asset thumbnails as available, some specifications, and who entered each item. To see more assets per page, use the Full View/List View toggle at the upper right to switch to List View.

    Quick Values

The Quick Values tab at the upper left displays valuations you have conducted on items that neither you nor your customers own.

Use the Full View/List View toggle at the upper right to switch to a more condensed format (shown here). Items in red have missing or incorrect information. Click Apps in the upper right corner to access other Sandhills Cloud tools such as Monthly Market Reports, MarketTrends, CallStats, WebStats, and more.

To add an asset to one of your lists, click the + button at the upper right. The button’s name depends on which tab you are viewing:

    • Quick Values tab: + New Quick Value button
    • My Inventory tab: + Add Inventory button
    • Customer Assets tab: + Run Valuation button

To edit an asset, click its name, such as 2016 Kenworth T680.

Tap or click the Quick Export button (upper right) to generate a spreadsheet of your Quick Value assets.

An asset’s context menu (the white icon with three dots to the right) lets you view its MarketTrends data, print out a spec sheet, and edit the asset’s details. MarketTrends presents raw data from recent sales of a particular model. It provides auction results, retail after-sale figures, and current asking prices in an interactive chart. This is especially useful when there’s not enough sales data on an obscure model to generate accurate VIP+ values.

    FutureCast

VIP+’s FutureCast feature calculates value predictions for the next 12 months, factoring in depreciation, industry production numbers, accumulating hours and miles, and many other variables. FutureCast evaluates equipment transactions against economic trends and current market conditions, including seasonal cycles, regional factors, and more.

To see an asset’s predicted values over the next year, click the plus sign to the left of its name. (For a larger view of FutureCast, turn your phone or tablet sideways.) FutureCast’s trend lines can indicate advantageous times to sell, such as when rising auction values approach current asking prices. Tap or click any point along the interactive timeline to see forecasts of market and auction value figures by month.
