Skyjack Deliveries SJ46AJ & SJ63AJ Articulating Booms & New SJ4740 DC Electric Scissor Lift To Chinese Airline
Skyjack announced it recently completed the latest in a series of lift equipment deliveries to Hainan Airlines, a Chinese air carrier that uses Skyjack equipment at its locations throughout China. Deliveries to date have included new SJ4740 DC electric scissor lifts, SJ46AJ and SJ63AJ articulating boom lifts, and full-size all-terrain lift models. Skyjack says Hainan particularly values the aviation-specific benefits of Skyjack equipment, such as precision positioning and maneuverability.

Skyjack points to the SJ4740’s included SKYCODED control system and rigid scissor stack as being well-suited for the precise positioning and height requirements that airport ramp tasks demand. SKYCODED is a color-coded and numbered wiring and control system Skyjack uses to make machine operations easier. Skyjack says the SJ63AJ articulating boom, meanwhile, offers the horizontal reach and up-and-over clearance to match hard-to-reach spots in airports. Along with SKYCODED and other systems, Skyjack offers a line of ACCESSORYZERS-branded accessories, including a tool tray, board carrier, and pipe racks.
Both the SJ46AJ and SJ63AJ provide industry-leading up-and-over reach, Skyjack claims. The SJ46AJ’s up-and-over height is 24.5 feet (7.45 meters), and the SJ63AJ’s 27.5 ft (8.38 m). Both have a 500-pound (227-kilogram) capacity; the SJ46AJ’s work height tops out at 52.3 ft (15.93 m) and its platform height at 46.3 ft (14.1 m), while the SJ63AJ’s reaches 69.59 ft (21.21 m) and 63.59 ft (19.38 m), respectively. The new SJ4740 DC electric scissor lift, meanwhile, uses a 24-volt DC power source and has a variable-speed front-wheel hydraulic drive. The scissor lift is drivable at full height, has dual holding brakes, and builds in a visual interface with diagnostic abilities.
