JLG DaVinciGO App Gives Technicians Remote Troubleshooting Access To AE1932 Scissor Lift
JLG has announced that the free JLG DaVinciGO mobile app that comes with its all-electric DaVinci AE1932 scissor lift lets users to bypass using a separate analyzer or any other specialized tool in order to run diagnostics on the machine. Instead, technicians can use a smartphone or tablet and the DaVinciGO app to connect to the AE1932 and view, diagnose, and troubleshoot it from any location.
“The DaVinciGO app allows service personnel, such as a field technician, to perform operations, such as software updates, configuration, calibration, and more, via any connected device,” says Randi McClure, marketing manager for JLG scissor lifts. “Utilizing the latest digital technology, this app will reduce diagnostic time by giving users the ability to quickly identify and address machine issues.”
Remote Connection
McClure notes that when a user needs product support for an AE1932, the app and a smartphone or tablet is all that’s needed to remotely connect the scissor lift to the JLG service center. Once connected, a JLG service technician can view current machine data, including the serial number and diagnostic troubleshooting codes, as well as the value of a specific input, output, or international channel, all in real time. The DaVinciGO also makes it possible to return a setting back to the factory default, identify alerts and alarms, and send and receive over-the-air software updates without the need for a computer.
The All-Electric AE1932
JLG released the all-electric DaVinci AE1932 earlier this year, saying it represents the next generation of electrification. The AE1932 uses no hydraulics, which JLG says reduces energy consumption by up to 70% while producing zero emissions. The machine’s use of an electromechanical lift actuator also allows the AE1932 to recover energy as the platform descends. The scissor lift is powered by one lithium-ion battery with a 10-year expected lifespan. The battery can fully recharge in 3.5 hours or less, and a 20-minute charge can provide hours of usage.
The AE1932 was designed for environments with sensitive flooring for which cleanup could prove problematic, such as data centers, hospitals, and museums. The machine has a 606-pound (275-kilogram) capacity, a 19-foot (5.8-meter) platform height, a 25-ft (7.62-m) working height, and an up to 4-mph (6.4-km/h) travel speed, which JLG says is twice as fast as a traditional scissor lift.
