Used Aerial Lift Inventory Trends Up, Asking & Auction Values Tumble
The new Sandhills Global market report covering November data for used aerial lifts on LiftsToday.com and other Sandhills platforms shows an increase in inventory levels, while asking and auction values are trending downward.
Used aerial lift inventory levels rose 1.46% month to month in November and 8.44% year over year, continuing the six-month trend, with articulating boom lifts seeing the largest M/M increase and rough-terrain scissor lifts leading YOY. Asking values continued a nine-month downward trend, dropping 0.29% M/M and 3.43% YOY. Auction values also continued to drop with telescopic boom lifts seeing the steepest drop.
“Well-priced inventory continues to see strong demand from the market and sells quickly,” says sales manager Matt Sterup. “Strong rental utilizations have created a shortage of quality, late-model units, as many are being put back into rental fleets and immediately rented out.”
