JLG Launches Updated AccessReady Fusion XR Virtual Reality Training Program

JLG recently announced an upgrade to its AccessReady XR virtual reality boom lift training simulator that will add training for scissor lift operation. AccessReady Fusion XR combines both training programs into one unit. The simulators enable users to become familiar with controls and improve operation skills before stepping into an actual machine. JLG recently displayed the AccessReady Fusion XR system at CONEXPO 2020.

About AccessReady Fusion XR

The training program covers basics, such as familiarizing operators with controls, as well as advanced operations to enable users to learn in a safe environment before using high-dollar equipment at the jobsite. The updated simulator lets instructors create training scenarios and select criteria for user evaluation. The system provides real-time feedback to accelerate learning and evaluation. AccessReady Fusion XR also has a networked multi-user mode, multiple training environments, an instructor-led mode, and the ability to password-protect scenarios and create custom performance metrics.

Some Assembly Required

The simulator package includes a 6-foot (1.8-meter) JLG platform with boom lift and scissor lift controls, HTC Vive PRO headset, sensors and tracker, and a Leap Motion camera. For the instructor, there is also a virtual reality-ready computer pre-loaded with the necessary software and a portable cabinet for housing the computer and virtual reality components.
